Just some feedback as per your email. You guys were the only insurance company I could find for a 1 way trip home. I spent 7 months in England & just wanted insurance for my trip home to Australia. All other companies wanted 12 month residency.

I found your website very easy to work through when requesting a quote and the quote itself was very optical. Your Medical Help line was second to none 'Bob' was quick, efficient and a pleasure to deal with The clearance certificate arrived within a couple of days. Unprecedented efficiency.
When I decided to accept your quote and sent payment, although I was a bit concerned that the screen then went 'haywire', after a quick call to David, his investigation and subsequent call back, all was well and my 'panic' subsided.

I am more than pleased I found your company via the Internet and if all goes well, I will be insuring with you again next year.

Hi Dave,
Please see my feedback below. It is ok to quote my name.
It was the only travel insurance that I could find that offered a straight forward insurance when flying from the UK to Morocco and returning to Germany.
For my second trip I was unaware that german insurance providers are a very rigid and that you have to book your travel insurance roughly around the same time as you book your holiday, so for the 2nd time Globelink as provided the only affordable solution. Dave definitely gets my vote!!!

I am very happy with globelink, thankfully I’ve not had to make a claim (may it continue this way!), however with the initial policy it was easy to find something that suited me and renewal was easy and straightforward.
As far as recommendations go, Ive just returned from Nice, south of France: if youre wanting an excellent meal, La Maison de Marie (www.lamaisondemarie.com) in the centre of nice has superb food, with a set menu that’s reasonably priced. The hotel we stayed at (the Comfort Hotel Azur Riviera) was clean and basic but comfortable, although the service was disappointing.

Hi Folks,
In the Spring of 2006 I began walking the Via de la Plata, an ancient pilgrim route from Seville in southern Spain to Santiago de Compostela in the north/west corner. During my walk I had the umbrella of travel insurance provided by Globelink. Six weeks and 1000km later I arrived in Santiago without major upset. I took a 'bus to Finesterre and there did what thousands of pilgrims have done before me, went into party mode.
This involves walking some 4km from the village to the cliffs which form the western tip of Europe and watch the sun set into the sea. As we sat having a picnic and drinking wine things began to go wrong. Without being too graphic, my prostate enlarged and cut of my urine flow, and the pain began.
I dragged myself back down the road and into my hotel room then followed the advice contained in my insurance documents and telephoned Globelink, and lay back, hurting. There was nothing more that I was capable of doing. I could only hope that Globelink were as efficient as they sounded and help was on its way.
Within minutes an English speaking member of staff, alerted by Globelink, joined me and assured me that an ambulance was on its way. He helped me to the ambulance and translated between myself and the paramedics. I will, for the sake of decency draw a veil over what happened next, but, I stopped hurting and fell asleep in the hospital.
Next morning the staff woke me and told me that I could leave. My first thought was "how do I get to my hotel 20km away" as I had no money with me. Globelink had anticipated this and a taxi was waiting to take me back to the hotel.
Once home my troublesome prostate was operated on and shouldn't trouble me again.
I am planning my next long walk and will be telephoning Globelink in a couple of months to arrange my insurance. It is reassuring to know that when you are in deep medical doo doo and not really able to fend for yourself Globelink is only a phone call away.

Last year I intending travelling to the US for a definite six months period, with the possibility of lengthening my stay.
I found no insurance company in my country to give me such a long term insurance coverage to the States. I thought of searching over the Internet for travel insurance for EU travellers travelling outside the EU and sure enough I came across Globelink International.
Globelink International were offering a good coverage for what I required and at a good price too. However I was still wary about buying the insurance over the Internet from overseas as I don't know anyone else who has done so and I had no clue whether this company really existed or not. So I made contact with the FSA - Financial Services Authority - in the UK to check that this is a fully registered company, and sure it is!
I then made a phone call to G I to clarify and put my mind at rest about certain issues especially medical coverage, which is so important when travelling to the US, and David himself answered the phone. I then proceeded to buy the insurance over the Internet with no difficulty whatsoever and in no time I received all documentation and information over email.
Quick and easy! I was very worried about getting this insurance and G I made it simple.

Regarding making a claim, I cannot really comment, as I had no need to make any claims apart for an issue which regards baggage handling on my return, which I did not pursue. I was too tired and glad to be home!

So I would definitely recommend Globelink International for Travel Insurance because of

Just to say I found the service very efficient and friendly and went on holiday feeling very relaxed in the knowledge that I was fully insured for all events. I am pleased to say we did not need their services but David was very clear that If I did, not to deal with anything myself but to contact them immediately. However, prior to booking the insurance I had to us the medical enquiry service first and they were excellent and extremely helpful and in an attempt not to miss out anything which they may have deemed necessary to declare the lady did not once appear bored with the conversation.
Only thing as far as I was concerned about the medical service, is the length of time it takes and the fact that you are phoning to the UK. Because I was dealing with two of us who had medical problems it did take some time. I wondered if there could be what I term a standard but clear form you could fill in before phoning them eg All personal details, every operation you have ever had, how may visits to the doctors or test etc you have had and this may speed up the process somewhat when you contact them. Other than that, I would recommend and have done so since the trip to my friends in Spain.

Hi David,

I have now been dealing with David Deverson at Globelink for 6 or 7 years usually taking
out an annual policy.
David has always made me feel special although I only need to contact him once a year
and has been attentive and helpful throughout all my fumblings with the totally

Although I found almost everything I wanted to know on your website, I needed just one small extra piece of information. I had just assumed that all sports activities would be covered under a travel insurance policy, but I was amazed to find that most of the policies that I looked at would not cover me for some of my hobbies and the things that I wanted to experience on my backpacking holiday. My policy with Globelink covered me for Scuba diving to 30 metres, White Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping, Motor Cycling, Jet Skiing, Karate, Rock Climbing and a whole list of other sports.

We live in Spain and when we tried to arrange an Annual Multi Trip policy, the quotes we got local companies were enormous. Then we read about Globelink International in our English speaking newspaper and visited their website where we were delighted to see that their policies are available at the same price to residents of all European countries. Once you reach the age of 65, most travel insurance companies don???t want to know you!
A friend mentioned that she had recently arranged a policy for herself and her husband with a company on the internet and she phoned me back a little later with their name and number. I called Globelink and told them that I am 66 and my husband is 69. No problem, they said and they gave me a quote straight away for either a single trip policy, or for a years multi trip. They told me that they offer Multi Trip policies up to the age of 75 and single trip policies up to 80.
