Customer feedback
Hi Globelink

I am a British expat and have just come to live in Spain. When I contacted my usual Broker, I was surprised when he told me that he could not renew my Annual Multi Trip travel insurance policy, because I was no longer resident in UK. Then I read an article in The Euro Weekly News about a UK based travel insurer who specialises in proving cover for people living in all EU countries. I visited their website and was surprised to see how reasonable their prices were. I arranged cover online and received my policy instantly. It was very easy.

Travel wisely and cheap

What do you feel when you watch TV program about the places you never been to and try to find a way to make a trip at least to one of the places you have dreamed about and believe that you can not afford it? Does this make you sad? Do you end up shaking your head and saying ???maybe next year???? Stop doing it! Everybody is able to find ways to make his dreams come true and the only thing we have to do is to look at it from a different perspective and see if there are any things we can do to cut the cost.

First of all, consider making the trip by car.  It will give you an opportunity to choose routes yourselves and to make stops whenever and wherever you want. Before starting a trip prepare a hamper with food and it will prevent you from eating in the canteens where food costs more.

Look on the internet for special deals, there are some very cheap air tickets available for European flights.

If you do not care for comfort much you can spend a night or two in the car or in a tent in the open air.  But if you prefer to sleep in hotel there is way to reduce the cost of the room. The only thing you should do is to find a small hotel in the suburb or just not to stay at the places of great tourist interest. You can get a room for a lot less cost if you are not staying in one of the major tourist areas.
Check out the room rates where you are going in advance. Then look for any specials that may be available. When you take your trip may mean the difference between a more reasonable room cost and one that just won’t fit within your budget. Some places even have higher rates on the weekends than during the week. Would it be possible to go for a few days during the week, instead of the weekend?

The amount you save can be quite considerable.

The room you stay can be a cost cutter in other ways, if you find one with some activities for the children. A pool is nice and can help keep the children occupied for a day or a few afternoons. Think of all the money you will save by relaxing by the pool instead of visiting another amusement park. After all, vacations are for relaxing right?
If you are really short of money, try to find a room with a kitchenette or at least a microwave and refrigerator.

Camping is a great time spending for those who like adventures. Tents are not really hard to put up and they require only minimum storage space when not in use.

Camping may be a great way to save money and to spend enjoyable time with your family and friends.
Then you will be able to take part in like hiking, swimming, and cycling. The locals that live in the tourist towns are a good resource for finding fun things to do that are not as expensive.
But no matter what you choose I wish you to be a wise traveler and had an enjoyable time!
